Bow Tie o’ the Day and I were excited to receive a package this afternoon, containing a book of Miller Williams’ collected poems. We’ve been reading and reading til our readers are sore. This tiny poem, called “Compassion,” is one of our faves. Out of its teeny-tiny-ness, comes an Extra Value Meal of food for thought. We’ve read it a dozen times so far, and we can’t quit pondering its profundity. We’re kinda glad the idea of compassion is repeating in our heads. It’s kinda nice.
