Tie o’ the Day is a neck-ed one 👔. The Deltabama house we’re selling was my grandparents’, and I grew up next door. My kidhood was played-out in both yards and houses. Anyhoo…When Popo (my grandpa) poured the sidewalk by the garage, he let me leave my handprints, which are still visible. The year—“69”—is written below my name. 😢 😧 😭 Hard to leave this concrete memory.
Farmers Kinda Be Hatin’
This Bow Tie o’ the Day is trying to do what Deltassippi-area people have made a tradition: stealing a few ears of corn for supper. C’mon, you know you’ve done it. You’re driving somewhere, and you pass a fine field of ready corn. You decide fresh corn sounds tasty for dinner, so you make sure no-one is watching. And then you grab a few ears. And you don’t feel one bit guilty about it as you consume the yellow staple. 🌽
